Intel's Last Monolithic Desktop Processor and TikTok's Uncertain Future

Intel has announced its latest ultra flagship gaming processor, the 89 Core I9 14900 KS, which boasts a 6.2 GHz boost, 200 MHz more than the regular 14900 K. This may be Intel's last flagship desktop processor based on a monolithic die, as their next-gen Aerolake chip lineup will use modular tiles. It's also Intel's last CPU designed for the LGA 1700 socket.

In the world of TikTok, the banned TikTok Bill has passed through the US House of Representatives and is awaiting Senate approval. If it becomes law, TikTok will be banned in the US unless its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, sells the app. However, ByteDance has stated they have no intention of selling, and China might block the sale due to concerns over exporting TikTok's algorithms.

Cerebras Systems has unveiled the world's fastest AI chip, the WSE3, with 4 trillion transistors, 900,000 cores, and 44 GB of on-die memory. It can perform 125 Petaflops, compared to Nvidia's DGX H100 system, which offers 16 Petaflops.

In other news, SpaceX's Starship Rocket successfully reached orbital velocity and separated from the ship, which then entered space and began re-entry. However, the super heavy booster hit the water at full speed, marking an unsuccessful controlled landing attempt. Elon Musk has promised six more test flights this year.
